Songwriting/Music

930-f

Back in the ‘aughts I took a long break from writing to take up music.  For many years some really good friends and I rocked out all over Northern Virginia and DC.  We had a chance to play some really cool venues, including Jamming Java, The Old Town Theater in Alexandria, Jaxx in Springfield, and the legendary 9:30 Club.  The latter show was a rush, particularly since I couldn’t hear my voice in the stage monitors during most of the first song!  If you’ve ever had the chance to play live and haven’t had monitors you know just how hard it is to hear what’s coming out of your mouth. We soldiered through, however, and had a great time.
